This is an old hoax. As to the USPS, I'm not real thrilled with the politics of it. As long as we have bills, govt paperwork, forms, etc. we need a way to send that info, and so a publicly operated postal service is needed. The politics and bungling of management, as well as the hiring and non-firing policies of the USPS seem to be the problem. On another ag web site (talk.newagtalk.com) they talked about pesticide spplication records that Oregon state is requiring be filed through the internet, directly into their database. Wonderful, saves some typing & filing fees, and no one will ever look at these reports ever, just costs farmers more headaches. Now, out in the rural boonies we don't all have computers, and we don't all have access to the internet. How are those folks supposed to file???? (Hope I put an ag spin on this thread... ;) --->Paul
