With a good battery, good starter brushes and solenoid, good battery connections, clean spark plugs, not running too rich to foul those plugs, good spark plug wires, good points and condenser, good fuel, good choke, and proper ignition and valve timing (and settings) I've not had any trouble starting my MF-135 with Z-145 over the last 11 or 12 years. Right now it wouldn't start, but since I have the rocker arms in the shop and the gas tank off, that's expected. But I was not able to detect any difference in gas mileage or standing quarter performance (not checking with a micrometer) on that Pinto wagon with multiple spark, except the static crashes in the radio. Had there been a 10% change I'd have noticed it. There wasn't. Gerald
