The gasoline 4020 has a reputation of being a gas hog. It pretty much is compared to the diesel and so commands a lower price. For my usage (50 hours a year or less) the price difference will keep me in gasoline for at least 10 years. I know gas engines, not diesel engines so I can make the gas engine sing for me.

I worry about the Powershift transmission but I've been unable to find anyone that has broken one. It does reduce the drawbar power by 20 hp, but is slick to use. My PS is less than logical at first use but I get along with it fine after a few months of use. Its least convenient with short trips digging a basement with a front end loader. I miss the shifting on the go of the Multipower of my MF-135, but the 4020 does everything else far better.

It was a cold Thanksgiving evening, and we were going up to her Grandparents house. As we passed one of their barns, I noticed something orange in the corner of my eye in this old shed. It was pretty dark and I asked what it was ... [Read Article]
