The serial # on your D-10 will be located where the engine meets the torque tube, on the left (carb) side. You might want to scratch off any accumulated crud from this area. If the tractor is sitting level, the numbers will be stamped on the transmission housing, about 45 degrees off level. If you think of the transmission housing as a octagon, the location is going to be on the upper diagonal, left side.
