What kind of paint is used in inside of engines

Been working on a Farmal Super C. Noticed the
engine on the inside is painted with a orange colored paint. I was wondering what kind of paint
is it. Would a good etching primer be okay to use. I understand the enviroment is oily but I think it still probably prevents corrosion if left
setting for a while. Just curious to what you
guys think.
