The front axle on my MF-135 that has been equipped with a MF-236 loader has been broken and welded. You can help matters by picking a loader that doesn't stick way out in front of the tractor, that has a small bucket, e.g. don't use a snow bucket to pick up buckets full of gravel... You could pick a loader with small diameter lift cylinders and limit its capability by the system pressure to protect the front axle. I was able to ask a MF engineer what my front axle was capable of. I don't remember his answer now. Ford would be harder to ask. But when you have the bucket firmly anchored in a rock pile and you lift the rears in the air, the front axle has the whole tractor weight. It could crunch... Gerald
