I-95 in Maine is posted as farm equipment over 96 inches wide is prohibited. I would certainly want a permit in hand before towing a 10-foot wide (from Vermeer spec sheet) rake on the interstate here. I believe here it would need to be carried and the carrier would need to have an over width permit if moved on a federal interstate highway. Best to check with authorities in the travel area if you plan to use the federal interstate.
