The base width of most modern equipment is more than a single lane. NYS Troopers could ticket a farmer on that alone. On that basis we don't need anymore laws concerning farm equipment. The farmer in question gambled and lost. I would not dream of doing that around here since any road I use is on the way to a mall or casino. Plenty of people who have a license and vehicle but should have neither based on their abilities. An ambulance heading to a traffic accident is a once per week happening anymore. I feel for the farmer but he took a chance that he should not have done.
