Hello, changing trans/rear diff oil in my 1939 john deere b flatback. All I can find is it take 4.5 gallons, however I can only fit about 3 gallons and 1 quart before is starts overflowing the fill hole. I drained BOTH drain plugs, one under the transmission, and one under the drawbar. Rinsed out with diesel fuel. I have tried to jack up the back of the tractor to see if some of the oil would flow forward to the trans with no luck. I didn t know that because it s a flat back if it take less gear oil than others thanks for any input.
