I would guess I'm somewhere around half the average age on this site. I have a pile of two cylinders that aren't going anywhere and are in a constant state of work/restoration. There's a lot of comments here around young people being too lazy/untrained/uninterested to continue the hobby. There is some there is some of that. The average user here decided that fixing up old tractors was more of a priority breeding, training, and working with horses. A previous generation could say that constitutes being lazy/untrained/uninterested in that regard. People and their interests do change with time. One other major barrier to entry into this hobby for young people is time and money. It is as difficult as it has ever been in history to make enough money to not only buy and fix up old tractors, but also try and purchase a place where you can have them, use them, build a building, and so on. I'm fortunate to be in a place in my life with no farming background where I have the time and money to pursue this hobby, but that isn't an option for a lot of people. I guess what I am saying is there are still new and younger people getting into the hobby, don't give up on them just yet!
