My 05 F 150 with a V6 4.2. Has a rear main leaking. Looks like close to 600.00 to change the seal If I was a few years younger I would consider pulling the tranny back, and changing the seal my self. As it is now At 81 I have a hard time changing my oil. Like today, after three trips to my tool box to find the correct socket. Pulling the drain plug and missing my drain pan, by a few inches, and oiling my driveway. Then realizing I forgot to remove the drain pan fill plug. As oil was nearing the spill over point, I had no choice but to stick my hand in the pan of dirty oil to find the fill plug. As for my oil leak, has anyone used the stop oil leaks in a bottle? The stuff has been around almost as long as I have. Would sure make my life easier if it worked. Stan
