Last winter I did the cheapest overhaul on my Oliver 1550 that I could. I replaced rings and bearings, had the head done, new guides and valves, gaskets, piston pins and bushings gaskets and a few other small things and I have $2000 in it doing it myself. In my never to be humble opinion you would be better off looking for another Ford 2000 that's in better shape and keep yours for parts or sell it to a tractor salvage yard.
