OK you asked for EXPERIENCE years of KUBOTA experience and since I have retired lots of engine work. On that engine the china knock off heads and injectors' are just a crap shoot . IO have had folks use them and get service out of them. Question is how much service or how long do they last. I am wondering if you have injector problem. That start up knock is most likely when it got hot cracked the head around the precup and you have water on top of the piston causing the knock. At least that is my experience. Most bade injectors cause blue/grey smoke and weak or no fire cylinder.
