Dump the mounted lights and go with Hemmjos plan thelights will last longer and are easier to change just put the wire on to it. they can be gotten with pigtails for the light so easy to wire in. Just tuck the extra wire in the frame there. I would run the ground back to a better place than just fastened to the box frame though. Hinges can be a problem with the ground connection.
