One thing is don't idle around with it a lot while moving the round bales open the throttle some. Doesn't need to be wide open but maybe a quarter or so. Over a 1000 RPM diesels don't like idling around it is hard on the cylinders letting fuel by the rings washing the lubrication out. I have a similar problem with my dad and his 574 he idles all over with it driving to the field and it has a blue haze all the time. IF used with more throttle it goes away. makes more heat in the cylinders.
