I have both a 2001 and a 2003 Dakota and both have had the complete assemblys replaced. The o3 I can see at night with, the o1 could not. Found out from Orileys that they have regular or bright bulbs. I bought the bright bulbs, don't know anything more about them but the bright are better than what was in the 01 but still not as good as the 03, still not bright enough for safe night driving. The assemblys came from different places and I do not know where the mechanic got them but they are made differently. The 2000 that I had that was totaled when a driver ran a stop sign had better lights than even the replacements in the 01 and same units would fit all three trucks.
