I have a 1969 case 430- 440 gas engine draft O-Matic soon as I start it, it runs wide open. I have noticed the throttle is sticking in the open position even when I havent given it any throttle if I grab the throttle linkage I have to force it all the way back for it to idle. Soon as I let go, it goes right back to a high wide-open throttle. What am I overlooking? I have cleaned all linkages lubricated all linkages, it do this until my sprayed some degreaser parts cleaner on areas of the engine, cleaning it off so that I could look for leaks. I did not use water, just a degreaser and air Im having an overheating issue which I still have because my radiator doesnt flow like it should thats under another category but right now my problem is the high idle. Im open for suggestions.
