Solar Farms in my area require that thousands of yards of dirt and rock have to be moved, settlement ponds have to be built and monitoring wells have to be drilled to see if any heavy metals are being leached out into the soil. Chain link fences have to be built and substations and power lines have to be strung. We are currently working on an ordinance to limit them in my county. I'd rather look out my front door and see a corn field or a herd of cows grazing any day.
