Farmers are responding to market demand for ethanol in Corn Belt . If there is no market for E-fuel they will stop producing corn for E-fuel. Prime farmland acres are limited. What is being destroyed by solar farms for the expected lifespan of the solar farm is prime farmland. Corn production for ethanol does not destroy farmland. It is not wasted . Over 250,000,000 vehicle owners in this country fill up with e - 10 fuel saving them money each fill up. It is cheaper then pure gasoline and better for the environment. A 3000 acre solar farm is under construction in this state. About 80 % financed by foreign venture capital. They don't care if they destroy prime farmland for 20 years in this state , they don't live here.
