The only tractor I ever drove with the gas start diesel engines in it was a nice MD. I wasn't familiar with the shut down procedure so I killed it on diesel which made it hard to start up the next time. Dad had a 400 diesel but he traded it for a new 4020 John Deere diesel when I was 8 years old so I'd never started it or shut it down. I remember sitting on it and pretending to operate the 400.
