The fact is that bad things happen in this fallen world, and, much though we would like to understand, we never will be able to as long as it lasts. The Plan is bigger than we are.
Trying to "fix" all the bad things will inevitably result in other bad things. No amount of safety appliances will prevent accidents when the engineering is pushed beyond the limits of designed use. Anyone who wishes to observe the outcome of such pushing should be aware that the results can be dangerous. Beyond that, we have a decided tendency to seek thrills. So long as we do, such accidents will happen. Legislating the thrills out of existence will cost far more than accepting he danger.
All that said, such sports are of no interest to me! I have enjoyed stock, antique and classic tractor pulls, but such things are rare today. Anything else really has no appeal to me. But I would not care to try to prevent others from doing it or enjoying it, even with a modicum of risk involved (a very small modicum--how often does a fatality result, anyway?).
