Just checking in. Bought a Cub and have it home now. Not running in at least ten years. Decent shape from what I can tell. I have the fuel tank off and looked at the plugs. Some carbon but nothing too horrible bad.
Still need to clean the carb and get the gas tank as clean as possible. I do have a new 6V battery, haven't installed yet. I'm going to remove the valve inspection cover and look things over before spinning the motor. I thought it would be a good idea to work the engine back and forth and see what the valves are doing and address anything that looks sticky.
Doubt I'll finish up this week, have other work to deal with. Would rather take it slow and not risk any damage.
