It could... but start with an injector drop test. Open them one at a time at a fast idle and see if the noise goes away with the line open. If it does, then I'd swap another injector into the hole where you find the noise goes away with the line open. You could be dealing with a bad injector, a broken pump plunger spring, bad bearings or a few other things. That said, if the mains or rods are bad, it should light the oil pressure light at a hot idle..
