I know it is supposedly inert once it hits the soil, but I had a tree die after we had been spraying glyphosate around it to eliminate the mow around problem. I don't know what killed the tree, we just don't spray any herbicides around the trees anymore. It just takes too long to grow a nice tree. We still spray fencelines and the driveways and around up next to the bldgs. As far as mixing, read the instructions and add a little bit more has been my norm. gobble
