Back when they were new, several were sold in this area. The vast majority of them seldom lasted over a year on the farm. Most were traded off for another brand and then went to a tractor auction. My FIL bought a 9000. It lasted 2.5 years before the motor self destructed. The sleeves and pistons had to come from England. The brakes ran in the hydraulic oil. The brakes went bad and took out the whole hydraulic system. He had that fixed before the motor went bad. He waited over 8 months on sleeved and pistons. He needed a tractor so he got rid of the 9000 and bought a Allis 190XT. Around here the 6000 commando was worse than the 8 or 9000's. Good luck with your decision.
