Near Billings Mt. I've got a couple small fields of hay to mow, about 15 a. total. Mixed grasses and some alfalfa. Gonna be beautiful hay. Already have about 200 small squares sold. Checked the alfalfa yesterday. It's ready, now. BUT the weather forecast is continued showers for the next week. So, I guess I'll hold off for a while. Got the MD started yesterday. (Helps to remember to turn on the gas valve!! DUH!!!) Gotta check how much diesel is in it. Hooked up the Haybine and got it closer to the shop. Got a low tire and grease it up so when it's time I'm ready. Might as well get the baler started too. Found out our neighbor whose hay is about half of what I cut is moving into Billings. He is 80-somthing and both have health issues. There're putting the house and 8-10 acres up for sale. I told him I have to approve the buyers. He laughed. So, when I cut and bale his hay this year, I gotta get it off the property, so no questions. They're not moving out until mid-July so I should have time. We have a verbal agreement, 1/3-2/3. He calls it his mad money. I hope the new neighbors are as nice as they have been.
