If it only gets greased once a year it must not get used much. We grease some things daily and some even more than that during the busy season. Like chains on the planter might be oiled a couple times during planting helps keep the dirt off and keeps oil in the joints. then oiled at end of season. I like to grease equipment when we put it away at the end of the season. things like wagons get brought out in a hurry and don't always take time to grease before use so this way they are not dry when they get rushed out to keep a combine moving.
