Good Friday Morning, Ive owned more types brands and sizes of gensets then average in my 50 years of RVing and actually in MY experience the many Onan or now Cummins Onan gensets Ive owned ESPECIALLY THE 1800 RPM are MUCH MUCH MORE quiet than many other brands ESPECIALLY those Open Frame loud screaming construction gensets grrrrrrrrrrrrr lol
NOTE where I agree with you to an extent, in MY experience the Inverter Gensets are even more quiet than the non inverter Onan onboard RV gensets. Some of those Honda or Yamaha etc portable Inverter gensets are soooooooooooooooo quiet
Of course different users have had different experiences, Im ONLY saying MY experience with Onan has been they were much more quiet then many other brands but hey everyone has had different experiences, some good some bad.......
