My Daddy bought a brand new 1966 Chevy step side pickup in Montgomery AL for $1500, our local dealer wanted $1600 and Dad told them that was too much and made the 2 hour drive to save a $100. He gave it to me when I turned 16 years old and I drove it all through my high school years and sold it in 1982 for $2000, wish I had kept it now.
