Yes indeed .... but when a guy looks back at how much he was making 31 years ago, we probably thought YIKES !!! I remember on a summer trip in about 1980 or so, gas in Kamloops BC had just hit $1.00 per imperial gallon in town, that's about $0.23 per litre. I filled up on the way to the coast because I knew it was a wee bit less a few miles down the highway. My dad was a traveling door-to-door salesman back in the 50's, I remember him telling me he was paying $7 per night in a motel .... he likely thought he was getting fleeced .... ha!
