As far as I'm concerned at forty some dollars for a new gasket it's just not a good gamble for me to re-use the old one.
I put a new manifold on my 8N instead of trying to repair and re-use the old one. I don't enjoy working on my tractors, they are just working tractors and I want them to run when I want to use them. I'm retired now but I was just your average working guy, not rolling around in money. Fix it once is my motto.
I got tired of working on the power steering on my MF202 so I finally went with a whole new modern steering system. I could not see wasting any more money buying used parts and having them fail.
