I've had pretty decent luck all around with the cheap carbs.
I installed a $49 bought online on my IH three years ago, replacing the MS carb and has ran Great since!
I also installed one on my Allis Chalmers - WD tractor replacing the Zenith, and as with the IH.... it runs really good compared to the Zenith that was original.
I use the tractor for mostly light use (garden plowing, rotary mowing, pulling (moving) some medium duty trucks), and it runs/idles Very good with no complaints.
I have installed some cheap clone carbs for chainsaws (Echo), 4-wheelers (Kawasaki Bayou), mini-bikes, and riding mowers (Simplicity Legacy XL), back-pack blower (Echo).
