Yikes! No way I would be paying that price to stick on an alternator. In the 1980s I went to the neighbours and installed an alternator on his old 542 Cockshutt combine with the 265 Chrysler flathead. I was not there very long and think it was somewhere around 50.00 I charged him. My tractors stay the way the charging system came from factor. Plus back then a set of alternator brushes were 3 dollars. Pull alternator off replace brushes grease the brgs and install and good again. The good times are over for good.
