I would say that the steel wheeled Era tractors would be the last to be adopted. Rubber tire can still parades, pull floats and such. Implements, no one seems to care. Heck, theses steam shows would be long gone it it weren't for the tractor collectors drawing the crowd. I have been to a few shows, strictly steam, and they couldn't find enough spectators to even pitch bundles. Young people, especially close to a big city have 0 interest, in anything as far as that goes. Some bigger shows around here don't help the situation though either. They get a young guy that wants to learn and be part of it, and all they get is a scraper knife and a wire brush, with no rewards, such as seat time, so they get burnt out after a few years. Needs more promoting, guidance and reward.
