You guys need to attend enough auctions, maybe sit down with a fella who has been auctioneering for 60 years like John Goelz local here, and understand how the farm auction business works.

Man Johnny has some good stories. He auctioned through the 1980s, when they really had to play games to deal with the bankers and farmers and all. He loves to talk, loves to tell jokes, and loves to talk about suctioning over the decades. Good guy.
Its kind of like nascar in the early days, cheatIng was the normal course of business. Then it really isnt cheating when everyone is doing it. :)
