I did like the Pound cake. Remember the beef and rocks (potatoes), Scrambled eggs and Ham. Still have my can opener on my truck key chain. We ate 2 c-rat meals a day with 1 hot meal from the mess tent. We warmed the cans up on the tent heaters, or set them on our 5-ton truck manifolds to warm up from engine heat. This was in South Korea, Nov 79 to April of 80. As a Marine on Okinawa we suddenly got tasked with Cold Weather training after the South Korean president was shot. Spent Christmas of 79 in a GP medium north of the 38th Parallel. Hard work but we were well received by the Korean locals. Many fond memories of that experience. Steve
