Knob on the back likely adjusts spring tension and or height. Probably the only adjustable thing on it. It may work, or it might not (it might be all rusted and seized up).
Otherwise, I don't think there is anything else to know about it's functions. Just sit in it.
As to whether this particular seat is factory, I can't answere that. I have a 235 and quite sure they had a different seat than the 135. Atleast mine has one different than this. Thinking it's a 235 thing.
