Sam, Do you have a radio in your vehicle? Many years ago I was stationed at a Navy communications base. I had replaced the carbon core spark plug wires in my car with copper core wires before I moved to the naval base. They had a mandatory electrical emission test that you had to pass to take the car onto the base. I failed and had to replace the copper wires with carbon core wires to reduce the electrical emission.
Of course, that was 60 years ago so who knows what the current technology does.
