If you want someone to email you they cannot see your email in your profile. Only you can see it. YT has a Safe-mail system that does not allow anyone to get your email address until you reply to an email message they have sent you through the safe system. My email is ..open.. as it is often referred to on here. Can you see my email address anywhere? No you cannot, there are just buttons to click in the posts to launch the Safe-mail form. For anyone to be able to email you you need to go to your profile and under ..Preferences.. click ..Alway show my email address.. then your email will be ..open.. but as I said before no one can see your email address. The wording by the check box should really say ..Email, a check here shows I will accept to be contacted by email through the YT Safe-mail system.
