The bearing carriers that support the differential itself will fail, they're aluminum. Not sure why. Midwest Supercub makes all kinds of garden tractor pulling parts for Cub Cadets, they have a great website. And when the carriers fail it normally makes the rear casting scrap iron. The roll pins in the driveshaft are probably the next weakest part. Talk to Julian Stahl, owner of Midwest SuperCub, tell him what you want to do. Used to be a really active tractor pulling club around south-central Wisconsin, garden tractors and antique farm tractors, up to 4020 Deere-size. SON & I went to a pull at least every other weekend. Was funny to see all the off-brand garden tractors that had hex shaped rear axle carriers!
