Thank you for the advice.

One thing I noticed during my 5 years in kansas,is that way more people are suffering from asthma, lung problems, allergies, in usa compared to France, particularly in the farming communities.

That must have something to do with the much less rules imposed on chemicals use and quantities used.

In Europe, hormons to grow cattle have been forbidden for a long time, so is atrazin, and D4D. Every years, many products are removed from the market, and farmers have to report everything they put on their field. That is lots of controlling, but if you are doing the right practices ( crop rotations, multi cropping, cover crops, mini.or no tillage), you have no problems meeting the goals. Now if you want to farm like in the 70s with those rules, you will complain.... GMO have not been allowed yet. That is fairly dumb, but the use of the GMO technology to make plants resistant to roundup is even crazier. Also, costs of the gmo seed plus the high amount of roundup used is not favorable.

Also, the amount of chemicals used per acre with the GMO residtant roundup is plain crazy in the usa, so is the tolerance to weeds: you should see more of them in a field, as having none at all shows an uneccessary high usage of chemicals.

I have friends here doing conservation agriculture having very clean fields with less than 0.5 liters/ha of roundup. (Or less than 1/10th of a gallon by acre). That guy is working on a system to put roundup on the underside of the leaves and is aiming for 0.1L/ha.
