Mr. George, I know a little about this of which you speak. The siphoning hose was the worst enemy of BTOs in the fifties and sixties in the Mississippi delta. So when a machine was converted to propane it did two things. When the price of propane was half that of gasoline, that helped. But when darkness came, out came the siphoning hoses. The next county over from me converted all their school buses to propane in the early eighties. All the buses were identical so the conversion was fairly easy. A tank, vaporizer and a mixer mounted on top of the carburetor and hose about all that was needed. And it was dual fuel. They would run on gasoline too. I asked the superintendent of education if they had recovered their investment sometime in the second year of propane use.
