Fortunately we didn't have to break ice to get semi out of the lake that was 60 feet deep. Air temps was 18 and water was right at freezing. Truck slid off an ice covered bridge and crashed in the lake. We couldn't find the driver. Almost zero visibility. They brought in a Cat dozer with a winch which I had them float the 1 inch cable to me by boat. Dozer pulled 40 foot van box in two. Lucky for us the trailer tandems flipped just off the rip rap and didn't go any further.
