Our tractor club does not have plowing competitions but we plant feed barley crops every year and when things are finished up after harvest, we encourage our members to show up and have some plowing fun. Different plows and plowing techniques sometimes makes things a wee bit difficult next spring for seeding preparation but we do it for fun an overlook all the warts that come along with having fun. Competitions are OK I guess, I don't understand why everything has to be a contest all the time. You'd think that guys our age don't need any of that in their lives but some obviously do and enjoy it. Here's a few photos from last fall on a 50-acre plot that we farm ....
