I can pretty much guarantee you have NOT seen 80W mineral oil as a recommendation. It might have been in the same post for other reasons, but the directive was NOT to put 80W in the multipower. Multipower is hydraulic, and needs hydraulic oil.
Near as I can tell M1127 has been superseded by Permatran III. I may be wrong here but it looks like Permatran III has been superseded by Permatran 821XL.
Anyway for an old MF35 you don't need the latest formulation that's designed for modern powershift and CVT/IVT transmissions. Any quality brand of "universal" oil that specifies any of the above standards on it (EXCEPT 80W!!!) will be just fine.
