The picture I posted is of a 1921 Model ''20'' W-K. I think I originally found that picture in an old Antique Automobile Club of America ad. Then I found this follow-up article with what appears to be the same car with the same aftermarket ''California'' removable hard top.
By the early 1920's, open cars like your touring and roadsters were starting to fall out of favour and folks started buying enclosed coupes and sedans. The top on the car pictured here was a way to kinda get the benefits of both styles- a hardtop for the winter, and when removed, a convertible for the summer time.
The lack of a ''dogbone'' radiator cap is just because your ancestors didnt spend the extra couple of bucks to get that bit of extra bling when they bought that accessory Motometer radiator cap with the handy-dandy temperature gauge built right into it. They mighta used the money they saved to help buy that tinted celluloid sun-shade and spotlight!
To be fair, ''Bob-NY'' got it right before I did, its just that his picture is just a tad out of focus so some of those finer details are a bit obscured, but its basically the same car with an upscale nickel-plated radiator shell and headlights.
