The ones I don't run in winter will sit from fall to spring with no attention. I don't recall having a problem starting up in spring. I did have one odd failure in this recent cold spell. The battery on the 84 Mustang that had sat in the shed for a couple of months was stone dead, froze up solid. Had to bring it in the house to thaw. After 24 hours on the slow charger it is back up to normal voltage. Its only a nine year old battery so I expect it has a few years left in it. Must have been a parasitic drain in the Mustang.
