Do you have a brand name on the drop box. I thought from what little I have heard about the Wagner tractors they were a lot like the Stieger and Versatile where htey had a lot of truck or construction equipment components in them. If so you might find more information from one of them for your individual unit that way. Those older tractors like that were not that difficult to fix like that. I did the drop box in my old IH truck back in the 80's by putting the shafts in with the bearings on one side then put each bearing in one at a time to set shims for the tightness of each with tapered roller bearings on all 3 shafts. Then put gasket and lid on for final assembly. worked for a lot of years like that.
