It might be a bit faster going through Canada (Niagara Falls to Sarnia/Port Huron), but it can be a headache going through the border. My wife and I have Nexus cards which makes it fairly painless. All the restrictions of the past three years have been dropped, but you still need a passport or enhanced drivers license.
