You need to locate any or all of the well diagrams in their completed state. You need to know if any downhole oil well tools are still in the hole and at what depths. If it came to a point that you had a wireline imagery run downhole you may find the the casings and tubulars and oil-gas tools are so old and leaking and non functional that it would be a major investment for either you or a service company to make the wells productive again. You need to do some homework. Could be the federal energy department may force you to plug and abandon the wells. If the wells are indeed perforated for production purposes they cant sit idle forever. There always they very slightest chance they may pressure up again and if the downhole components do not proof to withstand the integrity of that pressure you could have a serious problem on your hands.
